Notes on Membership and Fees

1. Insert the title by which you are normally addressed (eg Ms, Mrs, Miss).

2. The address you give will be used for mailing. If this changes please notify the Institute. If working in Dublin please state which HSE & Community Care Area.

3. State whether you are applying for “Member” or “Student” class

4. Membership classes and application fees are as follows:

Application for full membership - €50
(open to PHNs and RGNs working in the community)

Application for student membership - Free

The fee will cover the annual subscription for the first year. Thereafter the Annual subscription - €50.00. - may be paid by Standing Order / Cheque / Bank Draft / Postal Order - payable to The Institute of Community Health Nursing. For Credit Card please telephone 01 660 2689. The preferred method of payment is Standing Order.

5. This refers to Community nursing education and training and the registration by An Bord Altranais. Evidence of professional qualifications need not be forwarded unless specifically requested by the Registrar.

6. If other qualifications (eg RPN, RSCN) were obtained they should be listed. Service on Outside committees related to nursing may be mentioned in this section. If applicants have had special experience in education or other allied work, eg introduction or development of new approaches, courses, designs or policy changes etc., they may record these in this section.

NB The Declaration on the “Obligation to Institute and its By-Laws” must be signed and dated; otherwise the application will be returned to applicant for signing.
